How Does It Work?

Raypak air-source heat pump pool heaters work like a refrigerator in reverse — they draw heat from warm air, intensify it with a compressor, transfer it to your pool water, then exhaust the cooler air out the top. The electricity mainly powers the compressor and fan; the real BTUs come from the air’s heat — that’s why the energy savings are so significant.

What is C.O.P.?

C.O.P. (Coefficient of Performance) measures efficiency: BTU output divided by BTU input. A Raypak heat pump can achieve efficiencies over 600%, while a gas heater’s peak is around 99% — that’s the difference.
