Electronic Ignition
Raypak Digital heaters come standard with intermittent spark ignition pilot safety controls. What this means is that the pilot only comes on when there is a call for heat. This is a more energy efficient way to control you heaters gas usage by not having a standing pilot. Raypak has been using the same reliable electronic pilot ignition design for over 20 years.
Microprocessor Controlled Thermostat
The Raypak Digital gas heater comes with a microprocessor based thermostat control. This control allows you to set your pool or spa temperature precisely at your favorite setting just by pressing an up or down temperature control button. Polytuff Powder Coating
The Raypak Digital has a polyester coated, non-corrosive cabinet that is more durable than solventborne and waterborne coated metal cabinets. Every piece of sheet metal that gets powder coated goes through a 7-stage wash system making certain the powder paint has a perfect bond. Underneath the tough and beautiful finish you will find galvanized metal that offers superior rust prevention and years of durable service.
Polymer Header
The Raypak Digital incorporates the latest in header design technology. Raypak’s state-of-the-art engineering department utilized the latest in 3-D computer aided design to engineer the part for optimal performance. All Copper Fin Tube Heat Exchanger
All Raypak Digital gas heaters come standard with integral copper finned tube. This means that the fin tubing is made from one piece of extruded copper tube. Since the fins are integral to the tube, maximum heat transfer is attained. Every Raypak Digital has the same robust design tube bundle that we use in our large gas commercial boilers.
Stainless Steel Tube Sheet
Stainless steel tube sheets are used on all Raypak Digital heaters that use the Polymer resin headers. This allows for a completely nonferrous waterway leaving your pool truly rust-free.
CPVC 2″ Water Connections
Standard with every Raypak Digital is a set of 2″ slip fit CPVC water connections to make your installation secure and effortless.
Condensation Protection
Standard on all Raypak Digital models is Raypak’s Unitherm Governor, which helps reduce condensation from low inlet water temperatures. The Unitherm Governor automatically regulates the water flow to help keep the water temperature in the heat exchanger above 105 Degree F. Both water temperature and water flow rate are controlled to eliminate condensation, sooting, and scale buildup that can shorten heater life.
High Flow Rates
No need to worry about large pumps or high flow systems. The Raypak Digital comes with an automatic bypass built into the header. You’ll find that the Raypak Digital delivers the industry’s lowest pressure drop and highest water flow rate – up to 125 gallons per minute – exceeding the maximum recommended for 2″ plumbing systems. More hot water moves through faster and more efficiently.

The heater was delivered undamaged , but while switching over the ports to the left I noticed a bad run on a circuit board when I called Raypak they were not very helpful in replacing/ getting a new board. in fact the board has not shipped to my knowledge (VERY FRUSTRATING). While I loved how easy it was to order from you and the information you provided about the product I have to give you 2 stars because 1) I still haven’t received my product and 2) the trucking company that is being used are the worst in customer service. They told me an expected ship by date of 4/12 so I took off work in order to be ready with my plumber to install it. Then around 3pm they called me and said now I’m not going to receive it until Wednesday 4/17. So now I am out a vacation day at work and had to pay my plumber for his time he blocked out for me. Only to have to do it all over again and still not guaranteed to receive it. So overall I am dissatisfied with this.

We just received our pool heater and had the electrical and gas connected yesterday. Everything went smooth.
The only reason I’m putting a 4 instead of a 5 is because I wish I had known in advance that I would have to hire an electrician to be able to plug it in.
Also, the sticker on the front shows that this is pretty much the least efficient model available. That would have also been good to know.

Now the down side… When I called four days after placing order to inquire about delivery, I was told you were not Amazon and don’t have hundreds of employees in a warehouse waiting to pick & ship my order. While I was taken back by the response to my inquiry, I do imagine your CS gets a lot of “where’s my order” inquiries. AND because I have worked catalog/internet sales for a good portion of my career, I can also imagine the reference to “Amazon” has been thrown around in staff meetings. I would suggest NOT using it when answering customer inquiries.
