Advanced Filtration
The AquaStar Pipeline Filter’s innovative design achieves superior water clarity through a three-part process. Initially, the filter base channels incoming water along the housing’s inner wall, dispersing dirt and protecting the filter media from direct high-speed water flow. Next, the water is deflected downward by the top dome, spreading dirt evenly across the small micron filter element. Finally, clean water readily passes through filter core openings, which are notably 64% larger than competitors, promoting swift and efficient filtration. This process results in ultra-clean, debris-free water output.
Enhanced Hydraulic Efficiency
The Pipeline Filter also significantly boosts flow efficiency. Its design effectively reduces pump back pressure by 7 psi, outperforming filters that are two to three times larger while maintaining the same flow rate. Its exceptional performance is certified by NSF50 test data. The ingenious minimization of back-pressure allows the Pipeline Pump to match the turnover rate of older equipment while operating at approximately half the speed. This reduction in speed translates into significant energy savings.

Our Pipeline Pumps and Filters harness the powerful energy-saving potential of the affinity law, a fundamental principle of physics. This law demonstrates that running a pump at half speed consumes only 1/8th of the electricity. The affinity law is the very reason larger single-speed pool pumps were recently banned by the Department of Energy (DOE). While all variable-speed pumps have the potential to save energy, they must be connected to high-efficiency filters to take full advantage of the lower speeds while keeping the pool’s original flow rate.
