The TechniChlor is designed for spas up to 600 gallons and can produce up to 20 grams of chlorine per day.

It can be a challenge to keep the water in your spa or hot tub crystal clear and fresh. If you forget to add chlorine or bromine for just one day — or if the feeder runs out and isn’t refilled — you could end up with water problems. Because of the higher water temperatures, it’s critical to maintain the chemical balance continuously to keep your spa safe and clean.

Proper spa care ensures your spa is ready whenever you want to use it. Even if the water looks good, you should always test the chemical balance before getting in. A chlorine generator can greatly reduce spa problems and daily maintenance because it continuously makes chlorine each day so you don’t have to.

The TechniChlor generates chlorine on a six-hour cycle. Every six hours, it starts making chlorine and, based on the power level, it will turn off at a set point and remain in standby mode until the next cycle. For example, at power level 5, it will run for 1.5 hours out of every six. If you use the spa and activate the TechniChlor by tapping it, it will enter boost mode and run three times longer — 4.5 hours out of every six — for a full day. This helps replenish chlorine after the spa is used.
